Applying Tea Tree Oil
One of the best ways to get rid of hair fungus is applying grapes and black walnut extracts with tea tree oil. This mixture should be applied daily and remain in the hairs for about 8-10 hours. Later you can wash it out with lukewarm water. Do not disturb the hair strands once the solution is applied. Regular usage of this solution will get rid of the swelling and itchiness in few weeks.
Take two full cups of vinegar and boil. Let the liquid cool down to room temperature. Dilute the cooled vinegar with water in the ratio 1:8. Rinse your hair nicely with this solution. You can then wash off the solution with a mild shampoo and follow up with a conditioner.
Applying Mustard Seeds Paste
Mustard seeds are also a great way to remove hair fungus. Grind mustard seed to form a thick paste depending on the quantity you require. Wash your hairs with lukewarm water. Then apply the mustard paste to the scalp. Leave the mask for 20 to 30 minutes and wash off with a mild shampoo. Use this paste regularly to get rid of hair fungus.
Maintaining Personal Hygiene
Maintain personal hygiene in order to avoid spreading hair fungus. Avoid sharing towels, hairbrushes, combs, pillows and pillow covers with others.
Holy Basil And Amla Paste
Holy Basil has been known for its healing properties since centuries. Make a thick paste of crushed Holy Basil leaves and mix them with amla powder. Apply the paste on your scalp for 30 minutes and wash off thoroughly.
Raw papaya is one of the best remedies to treat fungal infections. Simply apply a paste of freshly sliced raw papaya on the affected area and leave it until the paste dries off completely. Follow it up with a normal shampoo wash. Apply twice a day for a month to get rid of hair fungus completely. Another alternative is to apply a paste of crushed papaya seeds and water. This remedy can be safely used on children also.
Fig Leaves Juice
Juice of fig leaves is also known to reduce hair fungus. Buy a bunch of fig leaves from the local market. Wash them clean in plain water and grind them to extract its juice. Apply the extracted juice on the affected areas.

A combination of neem leaves with spinach and carrots have been known to treat various kinds of fungal infections. Drinking juice of fresh carrots and spinach is also beneficial for people suffering from hair fungus.
Applying Castor Oil
Application of castor oil has also proven to reduce hair fungus. Apply castor oil on the affected area daily for about two to three days. Remember not to touch the infected area with your hands directly. Apply the oil using cotton swab or wear latex gloves. Wash your hair daily and rinse off the oil. Use a dryer to dry your hairs as fungus breeds on wet and moist environments.
Use Anti Fungal Shampoos
Wash your hair regularly with shampoos that have anti-fungal ingredients like Ketoconazole, Selenium Sulphide or Zinc Pyrithione. Apply the shampoo and massage your scalp deeply.
